Title: UCAIR Program and Grants Manager
Description: Manage UCAIR partnership programs, facilitate the annual UCAIR grant cycle and assist in grant application and fundraising efforts

Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate Partner Outreach
Maintain and strengthen partner relationships to support UCAIR mission
- Plan and execute monthly partner meetings in coordination with Executive Director
- Identify new and creative ways to engage partners to fulfill UCAIR mission
- Maintain partner correspondence and be a trusted source of information for UCAIR partners
Administer Programs
Direct program development with streamlined project and staff management to fulfill the mission of UCAIR
- Administer existing programs including facilitation of meetings, continued communication with program partners, fulfilling program objectives, and coordinating reports.
- Manage supporting staff members, such as a project coordinator or an intern, to facilitate programs.
- Develop new programs and projects to further organization’s mission to improve air quality statewide, including working with Division of Air Quality staff to find viable programs for potential partners
- Track the dispersal of program funds in compliance with program rules and UCAIR finance policy
- Comply with all general and reporting requirements set out by program donors
Manage UCAIR Grant Program
Work directly with the Technical Committee of the board and the Executive Director to administer the UCAIR annual grants program
- Coordinate the release of the RFP and assist in answering questions and providing guidance
- Accept Letters of Intent and full applications
- Prepare materials for board members, including mid-year and final grant reports
- Notify recipients of UCAIR grant awards and prepare grant contracts for recipients
- Ensure grant recipients are abiding by contract terms, including timeline, press releases, inclusion of logos, mid-year and final reports etc.
- Provide guidance to grant recipients on all issues and maintain correspondence with recipients
Research and Write Grant Proposals
Assist in fundraising and development by identifying and applying for grants allocated by government, companies, foundations and trusts
- Seek new local, state, and federal funding opportunities by conducting research to evaluate grant prospects and develop database to track prospects and grant requirements
- Conduct a full range of activities required to prepare and submit grant proposals to foundation and corporate grants including application materials and year-end reports
- Comply with all grant reporting as required by donor and assist office manager in tracking grant funds
Qualifications
A successful candidate will be able to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders in order to implement and organize new partnership programs. In addition, the candidate must be confident managing organizational projects from start to finish including reporting. UCAIR has a small staff and the ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about taking on multiple projects in order to help the organization grow and meet their mission of improving air quality statewide.
- College degree required
- At least 3-5 years of experience in project management
- Non-profit and/or grant writing experience a plus
- Design experience a plus
- Methods and techniques of effective management of personnel
- Strong writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, experience working with partners, donors and/or clients
- Experience managing organization programs from start to finish
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline driven and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage own time and be self-motivated

Relationships
The Program and Grants Manager reports to the Executive Director. The Program staff and interns report tothe Program and Grants Manager. The success of these working relationships will depend on regular communications. If UCAIR staff is expanded, these working relationships will be revisited.
