About The Summit
In support of Gov. Cox’s One Utah Roadmap initiative, the Economic Summit, Global Forum, Energy Summit, and Rural Summit have combined to create a bi-annual business super-summit called the One Utah Summit.
The One Utah Summit is hosted by Gov. Cox and occurs every six months, alternating between northern (#1UTspring) and southern (#1UTfall) Utah locations.
The northern Utah Summit will take place on May 10, 2022, in Salt Lake City.
Many of the state’s government and business leaders will gather to discuss Utah’s economic development trends and topics at this daylong event.

About Gov. Cox’s One Utah Roadmap
The One Utah Summit follows Gov. Cox’s One Utah Roadmap initiative. The first of the Roadmap’s six priorities is economic advancement, including ways the state can develop talent, incentivize businesses, and foster innovation.
The Roadmap also calls for education innovation and investment, supporting rural Utah through meeting critical infrastructure and policy needs, health security, and addressing equality and opportunity by improving racial and gender disparities in state government.
The Cox/Henderson administration is focused on these and other Roadmap priorities, and the One Utah Summit provides a time and place to discuss together what’s working, what can be improved, and the direction we’re headed as Utahns.
Governor’s Science Medal
Annually at the One Utah Summit, Go Utah recognizes groundbreaking achievements of Utah’s best and brightest individuals in the areas of science and technology with the Governor’s Science Medal.
Since 1987, the Governor’s Science Medal recognizes individuals who’ve provided distinguished service or made significant career achievements that benefited Utah in the areas of science and technology.
This prestigious award will be presented at the One Utah Summit at The Grand America Hotel on May 10, 2022.
Startup Pitch
As part of the 2022 One Utah Summit, a lunchtime Startup Pitch competition features Utah’s best and brightest entrepreneurs. The event is powered by VentureCaptial.org, in partnership with Weber State University’s Hall Global Entrepreneurship Center.
The Summit Startup Pitch is an entrepreneur speed pitch challenge where judges rank the best ideas, and the audience selects a people’s choice award recipient. Contestants are pre-screened, and the top three deliver their business pitches at the summit.
Startup Pitch finalists receive cash and in-kind prizes and tickets to the summit, where they network with Utah’s business leaders.
The people’s choice cash prize comes with bragging rights as the top new venture idea from Gov. Cox’s annual One Utah Summit in Salt Lake City.
Why Attend?
The One Utah Summit is Utah’s bi-annual gathering of the state’s movers and shakers. It’s the only business summit organized and presented by the state, with the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity taking the lead for Gov. Cox and his administration.
Gov. Cox created the One Utah Summit series to provide a platform for engaging in policy conversations. Summit programming includes today’s hottest topics and highlights opportunities available to Utah businesses at home and abroad.
